    WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?
Students must be 16 years of age.

Students with physical or learning difficulties may not be able to reach the required standard to gain this qualification and will be advised on an individual basis.

Please inform Learning4Life at the time of booking if you have any special needs or requirements

Students unable to meet the water test standards should not enrol on this course.  The standards are:

    - swim a minimum distance of 100 metres with a minimum speed of 50 metres in 60 seconds

These standards will be checked through a pool test undertaken during the first morning under the supervision of the course tutor and/or RLSS internal verifier. Any student not reaching the required standard will be unable to continue the course.  The achievement of the standard in the water test does not guarantee the student will successfully achieve the qualification.

Please note that goggles or glasses (prescription or otherwise) cannot be worn for the final water assessment.

Our pool is 17 metres in length

HOW ARE THE CANDIDATES ASSESSED FOR A QUALIFICATION?

    COSTS:

All costs above are subject to change at short notice.

In limited circumstances where a student fails a minor part of the assessment, there may be an opportunity to retake that section again.  Where this occasion occurs, a further charge will be payable on the day of assessment..  Please contact Centre for details.

Because of the restricted numbers of spaces on this course and the high demand for this qualification, we will be unable to give refunds\transfers for either the course fee or the additional costs for course materials and assessment, unless we receive 14 days written notification or the production of a medical note for the enrolled person.  In addition, transfers to later courses will only be agreed following production of a doctor's note for the enrolled student.
