COURSE
SUMMARY:
Food poisoning is
normally caused by negligence or ignorance. Most experts in
food hygiene believe that a reduction in the high level of
food poisoning cases will only be achieved by the education of
food handlers.
This course gives workers an appreciation of the fundamentals
of good food hygiene practice.
It
will look at:
Food Poisoning
Bacteriology
Prevention of food contamination
Personal Hygiene
Premises, Equipment and Pest control
Cleaning and disinfection
Legislation
Food safety hazards
Temperature control
Refrigeration, chilling and cold holding
Cooking, hot holding and reheating
Food handling
Principles of safe food storage
Cleaning
Food premises and equipment
WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?
This
activity is suited for all. It is likely that this course will
take place in a second floor room. Please advise at enrolment
