DIGITAL WORKSHOPS

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
A series of one-off workshops looking at various topics in greater depth. Topics to include:

 Portraits
This workshop will involve the use of studio lighting, ambient light, reflectors, backdrops and composition, together with image manipulation/enhancement techniques.

Still Life,
This workshop involves learning how to photograph a variety of objects using different light sources. Also learn how to set up backdrops and reflectors, how to photograph glass and "found" objects.  Use daylight, flash and tungsten lighting.  Finally, learn to manipulate images for different end uses.

Movie Maker,
This program lets you import video and audio files to make a whole video presentation.  One of the ways to do this is through a digital camera.  Students will learn how to import and match images, create transitions and import & edit sound tracks.

Printing and Presentation.
Students will be introduced to monitor calibration and colour matching.  Research alternative inkjet papers and printing techniques.  Create a finished, mounted image ready for framing by using cutting and mounting techniques.

WHAT ARE THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?

Must be able to use a keyboard and a mouse.
