COURSE AIMS:
To help students
develop/further their creative writing
To develop a student's critical abilities
To enhance a student's confidence in their own abilities
To provide a 'safe' environment where students of differing
abilities can talk, write and both give and receive criticism
without embarrassment or 'fear'.
COURSE
SUMMARY:
Want to
write? Want to meet other writers? Want to try `practical`
exercises: short stories and poems? Want to discuss your and
other authors work? Want to watch videos, discuss characters,
openings, different genres etc.? Then come along, all
abilities welcome! The initial weeks cover elements of
writing: openings, characters, setting, dialogue etc. The
remaining weeks consider differing `genres`.
Enthusiasm is more important than ability.
