Absence
Whilst
it is recognised that adults have many responsibilities and
constraints on their time, it would be appreciated if you could
advise the main office (01384 816043) if you will be unable to
attend your session. In
the event of severe weather conditions, the school may be
closed. Information will be available on Beacon Radio, Galaxy, BRMB,
Heart FM and our answer machine (01384 816031). However,
even if the school shuts to pupils and staff, if it is felt
thatl the school site is still safe Learning4life will
be open as usual. Car
Parking
Parking
is available in the car park at the front of the
building. This is at the owners risk.
Childcare
Learning4Life
has childcare facilities on the
main Wordsley school site.

Customer
Feedback and Complaints
Learning4Life
considers customer feedback an essential element to enable us to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction. If you have feedback both good and developmental, please complete a comment card or talk to a member of staff who may consider it necessary to record the nature of these comments for consideration by the Centre Management.
You may place your comments in writing to the Head of the Centre to the following address:

Stourbridge, West Midlands, DY8 5SP or simply go to "Contact Us" and submit your comment by e-mail.
A response by letter will be sent to you within 3 days should a resolution to your complaint be found swiftly. However, should your complaint require further investigation, an acknowledgement letter will be forwarded to you within the 3 day period with a suggested date that a full response should be received by you.
Fire Evacuation
Procedures
Plans and regulations in case of fire are available on the
walls in every room. Users must be aware of the location of
their nearest exits and the fire regulations. All users should
report to their tutor or leader on the front car park.
First Aid
The Centre Administrator and Site Supervisor have received
First Aid Training and are available to assist in an
emergency. This person can be contacted at the school
reception or by mobile telephone. There are first aid boxes
situated throughout Learning4Life and are easily accessible.
Health & Safety
Every person attending Learning4Life has a responsibility
for Health and Safety. Copies of the Health and Safety Policy
are available from the Learning4life Office. It
is a criminal offence to tamper with equipment provided for
your safety. Any safety hazards/incidences must be reported to
the Centre Administrator or Site Supervisor.
When attending your first session, you will be provided with
a full induction session giving details of any specific health
and safety information relevant to your chosen course or
activity. If you have any concerns regarding the information
provided, please speak to the tutor or to the Centre
Administrator.
·Any accidents must be reported to the Centre Administrator
or Site Supervisor and an accident form should be completed.
In case of a serious accident requiring hospital treatment the
Learning4Life Office should be informed immediately on 01384
816043. Vocational students must identify two people who could
be contacted in case of emergencies.
·If you are taking part in a physical activity session,
please inform your tutor or the lifeguard on duty if you have
a known medical history which they need to be aware of i.e.
heart problems, epilepsy, diabetes etc.
Personal
Property
The Centre does not accept responsibility for loss
or damage to any personal property.
If you think you may have lost an item of property
at either the main Centre or the Swimming Pool area,
please telephone the main office on 01384 816043 to
enquire. Any items of non-valuable lost property are
retained for a period of 6 weeks following which they
are disposed of at the Centre's discretion. Any
valuable items are retained in a safe place awaiting
collection.
Security
All daytime visitors to the School are required to
wear a security badge. These will be provided by a
member of staff and must be easily visible and used on
each occasion a visit is made to the Centre. They
provide access to the school reception area, rooms
used for study, the Dining Hall, and the downstairs
corridor as far as the toilets. Daytime students
without a pass should "sign in" at the school
reception.
Smoking
In the interests of good health and comfort of all
members of the Centre, a "No Smoking" rule applies.
Smoking is not allowed on school grounds.
