ONLINE / TELEPHONE PAYMENTS - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

ONLINE PAYMENTS:-

 

1.         Go to Learning4Life's website:  www.learning4life.co.uk

 

2.                   You can follow the link to Dudley MBC's Webpublic payment system.

3.                   You will need to have your credit or debit card to hand along with the Unique Learner Number shown at the top of this page.

4.                   Once on the website, follow the instructions shown on the page.  Please note that reference refers to your Unique Learner Number shown at the top of this letter.

For security purposes, the system uses Verified by Visa or Mastercard SecureCode.  These are activated on various online payment systems/websites and you may already have a password set up.  If not, you will need to follow the instructions and set your password.

Once complete, the system will produce a receipt for you which details all information regarding the payment and provides Learning4Life with a report the following day.  Re-enrolment will then be complete.

TELEPHONE PAYMENT

1.                   Telephone 0300 555 7000.  You will need your Unique Learner Number, your debit or credit card and a pen and paper to hand

2.                   You will hear a series of options.  Choose Learning4Life payments.

3.                   You will hear the following message “You have chosen to pay a Learning4Life fee. Please enter your Unique Learner Number printed on the information provided“ This will be the number at the top of this letter.

4.                   You will need to note your receipt number which will be given to you.  Learning4Life will get a report the following day to confirm your payment.  Once complete, enrolment is complete.

Why is Learning4Life introducing this method of payment?

Why is there no longer an Early Bookers Price?

 

In order to simplify the system for users, we have taken the decision to charge one price for everyone.  Provided payment is made prior to the last enrolment date, your swim school place will be guaranteed.  Where payment is not received before the deadline, places will go on general sale on the next working day

 

 

Can I still pay at swim school reception?

 

Unfortunately, no.  There will no re-enrolment opportunities at the poolside.  If you have an issue with paying via the new systems, please phone Student Services on 01384 816043 for further advice.

 

 

I have two children swimming in the swim school.  Can I pay for them both in one transaction or do I have to do two separate transactions?

If you choose the online payment, you can pay for more than one child in one transaction.  To do this, you need to complete the first child’s payment and click “Add“ Then complete step 1 again with the second childs details and click “Add“ Both payment and ULNs will appear at Step 2.  If you are happy with the details shown, enter card payments details at step 3.

 

If you choose the telephone method of payment, you will have to do two separate transactions, repeating the process using the separate ULN each time.

 

 

I have lost my Unique Learner Number (ULN)  How do I find my number?

 

You can ask at reception or telephone Student Services on 01384 816043 and they will be able to advise you.

 

The pool was closed and I have a credit.  How can I find out how much I need to pay?

 

At the start of re-enrolment, the receptionist will have a list of individual payment totals  If you believe you have a credit owing, please ask at swim school reception

 

Is the payment safe?

 

Yes  The payment complies with the Payment Card Industry Security Standards and thousands of people pay everything from council tax to music lessons every year.  It is Dudley MBC's preferred method of payment.

 

Can I still post a cheque in?

 

We are advised that Dudley MBC is phasing out the acceptance of cheques.  If you are part of the trial and do not wish to make a payment either by Webpublic Online or by Automated Call Pay, please phone Student Services on 01384 816043.

 

What happens if my child needs to move class?

 

Please telephone Student Services on 01384 816043 and discuss the change you wish to make.  Once the change has been done on our system, you can then choose either online or telephone payment.

 

 

I have tried to make a payment and an error message has come up.

 

Please check that you have “Learning4Life fees“ in the “Type of Payment“ box  The Unique Learner 
            Number will only work if this box is nominated.
